With the faction bonus and the new event prize (20% health regen at lvl14), most players will have multiple health regeneration bonus. I wonder how these bonus are combined to affect the event boss fighting and the WD battle. The current profile reading of "Health Regen" is very confusing.

In my case, I have a Health Regen Bonus in my profile showing as +11%. This should come from the -26% faction health regen bonus and -30% of my P-91 tank. I might have other bonus units but these two should contribute most. In the last boss event, it took me about 12min30sec to attack the boss again. I hope I can predict my stats and time changes on healthy regen after I get the new bonus unit for another -20%.

Again the key questions are:

1. What does the +11% Health Regen bonus mean?

2. How to calculate the time needed for another attack for boss or WD battle based on bonus units and faction bonus?

If you don't know the answers but are interested in finding the way to calculate it, you can leave some info to help figure it out:

Yeah all this is getting very complicated I got faction bonus -18% healt regen and the unit(level 14 LTQ) with +20% health regen but in my profile I see only +5% health regen

A fellow player whom I know in person told me that with a faction boost of 22%, p-91, and a different unit with a 20% boost drops your regen time to about 10:30-10:45. This was for the Gemeral Xhao event. I diont recall the exact time but it was in the mid 10 minute mark.

let's ask the real question here...what is the required health regen bonus required to have 7 free hits (1 additional) during the WD events?

You can get seven hits with the 22% boost from your faction - you have to get your first one in quickly though.

With the P-91 Pounder, 26% faction boost and two of the regen unit (assuming there's another in heroic mode) you can get 11 hits in for free. Tasty.

It shows me - 1 before i gain the latest health unit.. After gaining it i am on + 19.. My fraction health is full and i had another plane that gives 20%. I am hopeful to get 9 hits for free..

I can't believe how many shipyards were raided. I have to go through 6 or more ppl to find a shipyard to raid. And lose 2 or 3 good units for each raid no matter what. I will stop playing the event after getting the jumper.

I tried hard to understand Grees math ... But failed!

I have -30% regen from faction bonuses (6/6)

The Jumper should(????) be -20% but is listed at +20%

My new total is -1% ?!?

How on earth does that add up? Even assuming the -20 as +20 doesnt result in -1%.

Can please someone (CJ) shed some light one this. My willingness to spend gold on the next event is already extremely low. Should the funny new unit actually increase my health regen intervall I wont spend anything for sure.

The bonuses are multiplicative. Thus, you take each reduction, subtract it from 1 (which represents the "normal regen") and then multiply the values together. I've given an example below:

Say, you have the a 26% reduction from faction bonuses, 30% from the P-91 pounder and 20% from the Deadly Bridge Jumper.

Health regen time (time - in minutes - to regen 1 HP of health) = (1 - Reduction for Faction) x (1 - Reduction for Pounder) x (1 - Reduction for Bridge Jumper)

Health regen time = (1 - 0.26) x (1 - 0.30) x (1 - 0.20)

Health regen time = 0.4144 (Thus, you have a 58.56% reduction in health regen (100% - 41.44%)

Thus, 25 HP (for WD events) would regen in:

25 minutes (the standard regen of 1hp/min) x 0.4144 ("new" health regen time coefficient - i.e. now it is taking 41.44% of a minute to regen 1 hp or 24.864 seconds) = 10.36 or 10 minutes and 22 seconds

This means, in 1 Hour you should get 5.79 (60 mins divided by 10mins 22seconds) or 5 hits in addition to your starting 4 (with full health) - Thus, maximum 9 hits for WD events.

And, 26 HP (for Boss Events) would regen in:

26 minutes x 0.4144 = 10.7744 or 10 minutes and 47 seconds

This means, in 2 hours you should get 22.27 or 22 hits in addition to your starting 5 (with full health) - Thus, maximum 27 hits for Boss events.

a member in faction has shown initially was -5%, and with the new item, it is now +16%. :rolleyes:

The calculation makes sense. If it is right, then the display must be wrong. Glee needs to find a better way to display the health regen.

Here is the updates on change before and after the jumper:

Before:

Health Regen Stats: +11%

Time to wait for next attack: 12'30"

Faction Health Regen Bonus: -26%

Unit Health Regen bonus 1: -30%

Unit Health Regen bonus 2:

After:

Health Regen Stats: +29%

Time to wait for next attack: N/A

Faction Health Regen Bonus: -26%

Unit Health Regen bonus 1: -30%

Unit Health Regen bonus 2: -20%

Therefore, the display is definitely wrong but I believe my refill time is indeed reduced further. I'll know it for sure in the China battle.

Health with no bonuses regenerates at 1hp/min. So it takes 25 minutes to be able to attack again from 0 health. Just subtract your bonuses from 1.0 and multiply that number by 25 to find out how long it takes to get 25 health. For example, my bonus is 40%, so I take 25*0.6 and get 15 minutes. Do a little more math and that comes out to 1hp every 36 seconds.

To get 7 hits in for free, you need to have your Health Regen factor down to approx: .75

25 min x .75 = 18:45 min:sec so in 1 hr you will get 3 more hits in provided you unload the first 4 within the first couple of min of the battle.

Faction Health Regen Bonus ---------------- Min:Sec - Add the 20% QuestBonus---- Min:Sec

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 1 = 0.9500 -- 23:45 - =0.9500 * .0800 = 0.7600 --- 19:00

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 2 = 0.9025 -- 22:34 - =0.9025 * .0800 = 0.7220 --- 18:03

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 3 = 0.8574 -- 21:26 - =0.8574 * .0800 = 0.6859 --- 17:09

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 4 = 0.8145 -- 20:22 - =0.8145 * .0800 = 0.6516 --- 16:17

These numbers are close but not exact because I don't know how they round off or to what precision they take their calculations. And if using these numbers for your calculations please remember that you sometimes need to add 1 min to get the extra hit or whatever strategy you use.

Using these numbers it is possible to get an 8th shot in if you have full faction bonus and the quest unit. But it's going to be really close.If you have others then it's even better and maybe a 9th free hit.

I already have a headache and this just made it worse lol. if I understand right everyone has 100 health points and each attack costs 25? the rest of it is beyond my comprehention right now but the chart helps. all I know is it will signifigantly decrease my time for refill. perhaps when I get rid of this headache and the war starts I will try the math and see if I can get it.

Level 29 is: 160 Military Markets, 125 guard towers, 100 oil derricks, 150 attacks. <gulp>

That is over 500 targets!

That is over 500 targets!

how about levels 1-8 in hero? the 20% would be the only driver to flip this and hit it a 2nd time.

Where x = the number of faction boosts you have, 0.7 = the P-91 Pounder (30% reduction), and 0.8 = the Bridge Jumper (20% reduction). Any other boosts can be added to the formula in the same fashion.

The above leads to a 56% reduction, thus 11:16 for 2 hits on a boss (26 ticks) and 10:50 for a hit in the WD event (25 ticks). 43:20 for full recharge. This will give you 25 boss hits, and up to 9 free hits in a WD battle.

Vertex: I like your calc better. The fact that the faction thing is one item, I disagree with the way GREE does their calc.

If it is billed as 1 item, and it is, it should be credited at calc time that way. Jmho.

With that formula (and x = 6), the reduction should be 58%.

Thanks for all the input, I did a summary for the previous posts and hope it can help clarify this important and confusing issue.

For Math pro, use =TRUNC(1-(0.95^x*0.7*0.8),2), where x = your faction health regen bonus level.

For everyone else, use the following way to calculate the key time for your game play:

First, find out the exact faction bonus:

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 1 = 0.9500

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 2 = 0.9025

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 3 = 0.8574

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 4 = 0.8145

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 5 = 0.7738

5% Health Regen Bonus Level 6 = 0.7351

Second, find out your total bonus by multiply each unit's bonus to the above number:

For me is: 0.7351 (faction) x 0.7 (P-91 Pounder) x 0.8 (Bridge Jumper) = 0.4117

Third, calculate the time needed for one free WD battle hit:

25 x 0.4117 = 10.29 min (10 min 17sec)

And the 2 additional hits for boss event:

26 x 0.4117 = 10.70 min (10 min 42sec)

The current health regen display does not make any sense.

I think Glee should change the Health Regen display to reflect this convenient number (in my case it is 0.41), or use 100 - 0.41x100 = 59 for a range of 0 - 100 display of health regen, with 0 equals to no bonus and 100 equals to the ultimate health regen.

If you have additional suggestions, just keep posting in this thread.

Vert, I was just saying that the times I posted worked only if x=5, if it was 6 they would be different, as you can see above.

It is very typical for developers to have the back end calcs right but not have the GUI correct. GUIs are often not a focus, or at least not the primary focus, of development. Get it working, then worry about the "fancy stuff" is the typical approach. They'll fix it, eventually.

Ha didnt see Han, but this way is less complicated (he does a good job of the technical explanation)

Simple formula for how long to regen a single hit =

25 = 1/(Regen1xRegen2xRegen3xRegenetc)

Where Regen 1 = (1-%) so if 20% reduction would be 80% (ie something like Jumper)

So for me with 20% faction and 20% Jumper it would be

25 / (1/(0.8*0.8)) = 16 minutes to regen a single hit so 7 hits total assuming I dont f up the timing at all

BTW it its currently working as intended as I have check it to the second
