The RK are committed to helping players in Kingdom Age, individually or together with groups to ensure we all enjoy the game. We honor our agreements and will support all who advocate and champion the same philosophy and demonstrate the same behavior during this event. While a no hit event would have been far easier to ensure compliance, we will support the community's request for a free hit event only, but we ask all players to keep in mind that this will be difficult to ensure compliance. Rest assured, we will support this KA community endeavor, and will play with honor and integrity, but we will also have actionable alternative plans IF required during and after the event.

Even if you do spend gems maybe cap it at 13 mil. That will still guarantee you 2nd place and Fun can cap it at 15mil?

The whole point of this is to protest some of the issues and problems in game, that some feel should be delt with different than they currently seem to look. To do this some of the major gem players and guilds are boycotting buying gems.

The event time seemed really shortanded this time around kinda like a counter vs a real boycot.

I bet you guys spent a lot of gems on the ltqs and boss events.
Boycotting 1 event instead of boycotting them all seems like a waste.

As a example lets say we was boycotting a business with 4 offices why boycot only 1 and not all 4 seems rather wasteful.
Boycotts really only work On a long time scale kind of like starving a castle garrison into surrendering.

After this war boycott I bet you all will be out spending major gems again on the new quests.

On a side note a boycott is not caring about what happens if your serious you won't care if you lose your ranks in war if you do care then it is not a real boycott. Prove to the community you guys have the courage to follow through with what you say no matter what happens.

While I agree with your point, I have two issues.

One) aside from inflating the stats, which is bad, for anyone with a real income and not a trust fund, there's nothing Wrong with the LTQs. Or the boss events. The problem people have is the retardedly ridiculous guild war schedule, which is why they're throwing around the B word.
Two) a game wide boycott wouldn't work, ever. It's hard enough to convince people to stop spending on the battles, never going to happen with 30-50k LTQs. Ever. Their own personal game would suffer greatly, as you can never catch back up if you miss one. If they weren't so inflated, it wouldn't matter. But they are, and it does.

I am proud to say that RK will not be standing alone. All 6 BGK guilds are following suit. We are encouraged by the groundswell of guilds joining the ranks of teams who are electing to play free in the upcoming event. Having so many talented teams playing 100% gem-free next weekend will bring a new excitement to the game for this one-time only event. Strategy, not money, will prevail, and the members of those guilds that elect to play free will get a chance to return to having fun playing this game we've loved for so long.

I agree fully with what you are trying to accomplish, but after reading this thread I am wondering if these forums are the right place to talk about it, we all know gree reads the forums even if they don't post.in actions like this we need to stand together as one.i am sorry to say that it doesn't read like we can,it seems there is a distinct division on what we can do or will do, enough to make them think "maybe if we ignore it it will go away"
Mind you that's just my opinion.

We (WTP) will be gem free regardless.

this gem free war movement has become more than I think most realize. It is now a matter of honor and intregrity. Question that will be answered is who has them and who doesn't. I challenge all that commit to the movement to think beyond the game and decide who you are, virtual or real world, because in the end, you are your word and you only are as good as that. Say what you mean and mean what you say. your 'character' depends on it. I have committed and no temptation will compromise who I am. I ask anyone else that says they won't use gems to have the conviction to stick to it and show you have the honor and integrity to back it up.

If there is a 40% off sale then players have won and got one aspect of what they wanted...reduced inflation in GREE diamonties. If this proposed boycott causes GREE to put in a 40% off sale, then win win to the players.
The boycott will be, "Don't buy inflated GREE Diamonties, buy them only during the 40% off sale." "If no sale, get together with players to reduce the number of gems spent during wars and gemcott.

I think anyone expecting Gree to put a 40% sale in to counter a boycott is giving GREE a little too much credit. They are corporate mentality 101, "it'll never happen, we call the shots and they fall in line blah blah blah"...now maybe after a boycott they might put in something like this, but to anticipate them doing it proactively would be the first proactive measure ever implemented to my knowledge in KA.

think it through logically.
Average guild size of 30 members...1500 guilds "in the running" for rewards....that's 45,000. Of the guilds I've played with, I estimate 1/5th on average using gems...so say, around 9000 people paying to play.

I am very suspect of 9000 people all agreeing to play gem-free.

I get gems because I can and I like to have an edge. I suspect that's also the case for most of the 9000 above too.

It all sounds very noble that the top 10 guilds are going to boycott for the sake of us "little guys". But frankly, I'm calling BS on it.

The top 10 guilds represents at most ~500 players and while the gem spending is surely heavier with them than with my guild...I doubt 100% of the players are heavy spenders. Even so, who do you think would have more "pull" with GREE? 500 heavy spenders or ~8-9000 light/moderate/heavy spenders?

At best, this is bluffing silliness meant to rattle opponents' cages.
At worst, this is outright deception and strategy meant to try to derail those of us who are "caught in the middle"....between top 25 and top 500.

I will be advising my guild to stay the course.

That said, we probably won't be using gems much anyway since the last battle was so recent and the quests were so succulent. LOL

Logically there are guys in the heavy spender category that spend more then 2,000 of the light spenders alone combined. There are guys who drop 5k+ a month. But you are right not all the 9k you say will agree, human nature, some will try to cop and advantage however the point is if there is a sig dent in revenue it makes a difference in terms of getting heard. Do i think it will work no...im not naive but trying is better than not. Hopefully good comes of it. Im not saying were doing it for the little guy were doing it so there is a kingdom age game for people to play (self interest)

Is this a joke? Do some back of the envelope math and you will see that the top 3 guilds spend 2+ mountains of gems per member per battle on average. There are players spending over 10 mountains PER BATTLE. How much do you spend? The gem purchases of the other 99% that you reference are a drop in the bucket compared to the top 10.

The only reason RK and the rest of the guilds are boycotting is because they ran out of gaming money. If Gree was smart they should make battles run weekly. Have a weekly winners list. Guilds can choose when to fight and when not too. Giving guilds a choice. That way guildslike RK and United (whatever) can either bleed money or give others a chance. I am sure more players would spend a few coin if they thought they had a chance. I have a 500 rank guild. With only about 4 gem users and are used sparingly. Some think a buying more gems but the difference in QP Is not worth it

It's clear the lengthening of the gap between wars is for the sole benefit of the upper ranked guilds. The only reason majority support appears to be for wars to be more spaced apart is because most of the forum regulars are in TOP10 guilds. The guilds that feel the pressure to retain their positions obviously would want more time between wars so they can recover without missing out on a war.

Now if you would ask a guild that is under no pressure to perform well (that is the majority of all of the guilds), I'd say they'd like to see wars more often simply because participation for them is truly optional and 'losing' will not result in loss of ego or shrinkage of e-peen. And they would love the extra indestructibles.

I'd love to see a 24 hour duration guild war every day of the week for the very same reason you'd like to see a guild war every weekend. There will be an enormous amount of b1tching and moaning from TOP10. If they are pushed to the limit, it would be exciting to see some new faces in the TOP10. Makes the game exciting for everyone.

Doesn't matter anyway because the smart players will all leave when the next gen hackers take a foothold. Then the game will die all you'll cry because your $20 a week won't make a difference to the hackers playin free.

If the frequency is pull even more closer like 1 week rest, 1 week war.
Then the hackers will show themselves out as they are the only ones that can create virtual money & gems at no physical cost.

One factor you're missing out. TOP10 guilds will have to participate in every war to retain their spots. If they miss a single war, then it's considered that they have been dethroned. The lower ranked guilds can freely opt out of any war because they're under no pressure to participate.

If there was a war every day of the week, I don't think even the FUN would have the spirit to consistently rank #1.

Lol...you think that gem hacking doesn't exist? Well, you are wrong glitter man. I've seen it with my own eyes. GREE can't track it, the hole in their coding is already there and too late to fix. Not only can gems be hacked, the box event can be hacked so you can open successfully everytime and recieve the desired trinket 100% of the time. If you'd listened to what Winny said not long ago, then you would know the facts. That's where your deluded, thinking the top guilds can't keep up...pfft, if lower guild can't muster the gems in the long term they can't in the short term.

Moreover, FUN haven't really been tested yet. They are capable of a lot more but they are not stupid. They are more aware of the hackers than GREE support.
As soon as you see FUN drop off the board, you'll know that it's time to abandon ship as the hackers wld be at the point of taking over the big spenders.
They will spend till the game dies by hackers. It's simply, they will burn opponents gems, it doesn't bother them, finance is no difficulty for them. They have bank accouts that wld make you sizzle.

If I were still playing with a legit account, then I'd luv to join FUN. But, I've seen too much of the joy of hacking to go back to spendin real money. I'm happy to play under the radar till we hackers take over.

You don't know, maybe the guild above RK is more covert, and therefore better at hiding things. Just speculation.

Mate, I think you're deluded. If wars were more frequent, TOP10 guilds would not be able to retain their positions consistently. They'd be burnt out and probably quit. Then newcomers will fill in for them. Common sense please.

I wouldnt be so sure of this;) And do you really think Gree would let all their top gem players quit so freebies can win top prizes?

My guess is more frequent wars will only make the gap between top guilds and others bigger. They will still win the prizes, either with gems or for free.

You can't refill real-life stamina with gems you know. They'd be exhausted and miss a couple of events.

Of course you know yourself that when FUN plays without gems and the other with gems, that the other will take over the 1st place. This coming war should give a good example of that, as FUN is not going to use gems, correct?

Unless you think someone outside the top will spend big on gems, this will never happen. We can score massive points in a free war too. And if you apply that we would get tired of clicking, or didnt have the time to play, i think your wrong about that too. We probably have the most active members in this game, and it would take alot to pass us on that.

To my knowledge, Noone from FUN has said we support to not spend gems? We have won every event and we want to continue to do so. We have the most to lose on this boycott we think, for many guilds it doesnt matter that much if they are nr 500 or 750.

However we support the boycott and that something needs to be done about hackers, support etc. So we will spend a lot less, based on how "true" people are about their boycott plans(which i think is impossible to get going, but will still send a message to Gree).

So if RK or anyone else in second spend x gems in war(RK as an honourable guild has stated by Tiki to not spend anything so just use them as an example), we will spend x plus a little bit more to win it.

If you see what we spent in earlier wars, our gem boycott will be massive depending on how loyal to the boycott others guilds are.

For the guilds who want to spend money to win the next war, you can "win". The digital assets you buy only mean something to you. The moment a game starts to sell power, they de-value the design decisions they have made throughout the rest of the game. What you end up with at the top are people who have competitive personalities that are so focused on winning, they don't see what's really happening. For those Guilds that have decided not to spend real life money, in an effort to get Gree to see that they can make their game better, I commend you, and am looking forward to some positive changes in this game.

I know how much you all spent and it would be strange to let go the 1st place after all what you guys already invested in the game.

I assume you guys will just top the 2nd rank CP, so you can keep your number 1 position, and of course we shall see how RK will act..

I'm happy to play under the radar till we hackers take over.I HOPE YOU AND YOUR HACKING BUDDiES GET IPN BAN AND BLACKLISTED IN ALL GAMES IN APP STORE!

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am by the stance taken by FUN and RK! As the two top guilds this was really an opportunity to get Gree to stop their GREED! Both guilds are more than capable of agreeing to be 1 and 2 without spending gems!! Gentlemen and ladies your PRIDE will destroy any chance of KA being developed into a really exciting and worthwhile game! Does it really matter that much?? The future could be much brighter if we fought for the here and now!! "GREE cant track it, the hole in there coding is already there and too late to fix"

Oh please GREE can track anything. It's their game and their coding and coding can always be changed. If this wasn't the case there would be no such thing as "game updates". And if you really think GREE would just sit by and let such blatant "Gem hacks" go by and take their revenue then you're even more delusional than I thought. I'll admit they can be slow (maybe a slight understatement) but when it comes to $$ you can bet they won't just be sitting around twiddling with their thumbs. They are after all a business and hackers are their con artists.

The sad thing is reading some of the replies, some people actually believe you.

For everyone to remind again!! This was the original start of the Thread
Would be nice to see some threads stick with the innitial subject.

The forum gets poluted, all threads change subject to hackers, don't think that 's good for the forum.
The KA players want to know their answers about the Thread subjects, not everyone wants to debat about the hackers, it's so simple create some new threads about the hackers and leave the other threads to the original subjects....

Sorry, but that's just my opinion....

And back to the subject, RK ? I would assume you stick to the original plan to play GEM free this coming war, If you ( RK ) want to take a stand, you must keep standing, no matter what other GUILDS will do. No alternative plans should be there, the only thing what could happen is that another guild take over the 2nd place! well so what!! everyone knows how that became possible and they still will respect you, by following "another plan", you will lose a part of the respect which you all earned before...what is more worth for RK & FUN? the earned respect or a 1st and 2nd rank?

I couldn't aGree (I know beating a dead horse) more. I bet 90% of gems bought are by the top 50 guilds. No bout adoubt it. Thus, the only way Gree will listen is if the top dogs actually stick to their word...which will be obvious soon...

Difficult to say with accuracy, but I also agree with this assumption.

Based on a post made by Muddy (http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?54479-Battle-for-Dwarven-Mines-CK-Rankings..!/page3) I have tried to quantify some wars aspects and especially concerning gem spending. No arrogance to know the truth but with my experience of high gemspender I think it could be like it follows.

Some assumptions and approximations :

300 points on average per hit (This time we are talking about high spenders knowing how to valuate their investment)
At least 80% of points come from gems for the TOP guilds. For me it was much more like 90%, but let's keep this rate, Although it could be argued
Anyone could tell me that for his guild the gem spending is not correct. OK, it's just estimation...

All the stats below come from the Blighted Woods Winners list, the last one with all the CP. Unfortunately for Dwarven's Mines the CP were not included....

http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/7002/blightedwoodsresultssta.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/844/blightedwoodsresultssta.jpg/)

How to read ? Sorry it was difficult to find good tittles for columns but some are clear.

The 1250 winners did 591 841 096 points.

Let's see the 50th line :
The top 50 guilds did 268 554 979 points, that to say 45.38% of the total and as many points as the last 1167 ranked guilds. These 50 top guilds represents 4% of the 1250 ranked guilds and they together have spent an estimated number of 2984 mountains Gems during this war.

It's amazing to see that FUN is doing as many points as the 545 last ranked guilds. And also that the top 65 guilds are doing just more points than all the others together !!!

Ok 3297 mountains gems spent by first 65 guilds... It seems so high !! Yet if we count 50 members on average per guild, for 65 guilds it gives almost exactly 1 mountain per player !!! Surprisingly low for me ... There should be still free players over there :D :D. I find it's cool !

The last 1185 guilds did around 295 000 000 points. If we count an average of 30 members per guild, highly possible after 3 months, it gives around 8300 points per player. Certainly not too much gem spending here. And it's just human that the gemspenders have tried to join the best guilds in orders to valuate their spendings with better rewards...

RK will play gem free, FUN will reduce gem spending to a minimum which probably will be more lost gems for Gree then several of other guilds together. What more can you ask for? By stating we will go for our no1 spot, it will also make some opportunistic guilds looking to use the boycott to snatch the top spots see that its useless. This will also reduce massive gem spending me thinks. Remember someone will take first place and if you think a little, best thing is if FUN does it.

That unless you are in one of the opportunistic guilds looking to exploit the boycott..

Warning: Do not Panic as you look at the leaderboard in this war and assume gems are being used without confirming it.

Most of the top guilds have huge health bonuses and get more free hits than other guilds. Most of our guild will get 8 hits per battle. 8 hits x 300 points x 50 players = 120,000 CP --Free-- (This is just an average, so don't bug me about walls and player levels, etc.)

My health bonus is -55% for example, and we don't even have all of the health bonuses unlocked - not that that's anyone else's business, but nonetheless. I average just under 11 minutes for 25 health on the boss event health timer. That will mean a full bar and 4 hits every 44 minutes all day long. Nine hits and a rest, or six hits every battle, back to back to back with a little time for getting paired in between. Others will have even faster regen.

After a player on the forum questioned how we got 44k trying not to waste hits on them in a battle, I figured some math was in order.

Don't Panic. Breathe...

LordB
05-23-2013, 04:16 PM
Of course gems will be used. Most of the 1000+ guilds in the game never look at this forum. Many others will spend more gems than usual to take advantage of the boycott. The only question is whether the "top" guilds will have the tiny amount of character needed to watch their pretend prizes slip away this one weekend. Clearly from the above comment one of them won't, but hopefully the others will be bigger.

Fredcole
05-23-2013, 04:45 PM
So if some spend less and some more then usual as you say, do you really think Gree cares about who is in top or not? You want changes in the leaderboards or Gree to change? You really want a gem race for 1st place?

Stop trying to put other guilds down and fokus more on your own guild. Atleast save your whining until after the war.
