View Full Version : Problem tranfering the game to a new device

I can't transfer the game to a new device. I've done this dozens of times before.

Now I get an error 'No old account associated with your Funzio ID, please set an old device'.

I've tried with two different new devices so the problem must be related with transferring from the old device.

Anyone knows what's going on?

Bro,it is problem with a new update,transfers dont work good..Wait for next update im shure it will come fast.
P.s.it is not a problem on your devices

Yeah I've got the same issue, I transfered to a different device now I can't transfer it back to my own phone... it sucks now I can't participate in the war....

This update is a joke, it fixes one thing but breaks another. The gem issue may have been fixed but now you are no longer allowed to transfer your game between devices: IPAD > IPHONE, IPHONE > IPHONE, IPHONE > IPAD. If it helps your bumbling dev team out the issue is from the original device that you are setting as OLD, it does not send info out to your servers that you want to transfer out to a new device. Therefore when you try to transfer onto a new device it states "No old account associated with your Funzio ID, please set an old device". If this new update doesn't convince people that all you care about is $ than I don't know what would.

I hope they fix this VERY SOON. I'm playing in my first gen iPad and that is a disgrace because the app is so buggy that it crashes all the time. I buy a new iPad to solve that problem just to learn that, because of a different bug, I can't transfer the game. This is crazy.

Now I have a brand new iPad and I can't use it. GRRRRR

Submit a ticket with your old ID and explain your situation and sit back and wait. I have heard it takes about a month to recover your old profile. Good Luck.

Gree team needs to make a new update that allows us to transfer games back too your own devices before this guild war ends or a few hours after it so we can actually participate..other wise Gree team should give us gem compensation!!! lol like 1000 gems for everyday!

Yes, It's Gree special. They get rid of one bug and create a dozen more. Don't even bother with your tickets, this is the automated ticket that you will get after one month:

So i decided to delete my game and reinstall my game (which I've done multiple times in the past and 50% chance of fixing the issue).

After deleting the game and reinstalling, I'm getting this:

Unrecognized server response while trying to get into the game. Please try again in a few moments.

I can't even get on to play anymore!!! I was able to play all day and just a few min. ago until I delete and reinstall!! What the heck Gree?

It's a problem for me as we'll, can't detect the old device although it has been activated. Tried multiple times, even to the extent of changing I'd and reinstalling the game, still, the same. Van be disruptive and frustrating to gameplay! Especially for events, now have to carry mor devices around instead of being able to consolidate them into one.

Still nothing. Wondering what could possibly be going on... Need to swap devices, the iPhone screen is murderous after too long.. Teach me to have the pocket device handy for guild wars.

I just wish they would revert everyone back to version 1.8.2 instead and figure out the gem problem later as game play and keeping your gamers happy is more important then the putting people of the game to further not spend any money on this game after the amount of difficulties to just play it or transfer it back to your own device...

Apple recently made a pretty big change to how device identification is handled and we had to adapt. There are actually some good reasons for why UDID isn't allowed anymore, but it's caused some chaos in the entire gaming industry as everyone had to rework auth and identity systems.

Jerle - what kind of timeframe are we talking about?

Can support just simply put higher priority on these requests? as it involves playing the game and for those of us happy to support (buy gems) - you're losing money. ;)

How much is "soon" remains to be seen.

Gmoney, I think mostly everyone updated to 1.8.3 to see all the guild war and boost info stuff. Small benefit for such a huge disadvantage. Can't rollback to 1.8.2 without being jailbroken anyhow.

I'm about to transfer my game from old device to new, but when i read all the issues here in this thread that it took so long to fix, then forget it & never mind...:p

I have this problem too - as does my partner. We have to play KA on our iPads and can't transfer to our iPhones - this means we play less and SPEND LESS... hopefully Gree will resolve this soon once they realise.

I'm less interested in a "fix" than I am just having tech support do the switch for me. That seems like a lot less work in the long run - rewriting code/debugging/testing...repeat.

Support has responded and transferred my acct manually, but it will take awhile! So have to be patient with them.

They moved mine manually also. Hopefully they figure out the problem and get it switched. Loved being able to,switch back and forth from iPad to iPhone.

Manually take ages though, last time I used to do it 3 times a day transferring between devices that I could bring to work. Hope they get it rectified soon!

Hi, I have the same problem too, I can't tranfer my account form my IPhone 3GS to my Iphone 5S. However, I have transfered my Modern War account with the same way and it worked well (and it very easy).
I don't understand the reason why it doesn't work with KA.

I had mine transferred in less than 30 minutes from the time I sent in the ticket. Make sure you provide the following information:


-Your old character's invite code (the 9-digit player ID associated with your game, which can be found under your profile)

-Your old character's exact name (case sensitive) and last known level

-The invite code of the new character showing up on your new device (should be around a level 1 when you first install the app)

For security purposes, please also provide as much of the following information as possible:

-Any copies of gold/gem/cash purchases made through iTunes or Google Wallet (you can attach these to the reply to this email)

-Recent in-game gold/gem purchases

-Your last login time

Why not just remove the option to transfer in game if you are going to leave it broken for months on end? Makes absolutely no sense to me. Laziness.

It works in the other games - I managed to transfer MW and CC accounts using the in-game function.

For some reason KA wouldn't work for me and I needed support to do it, but it was done in under 24 hours, needing information from the post by MidnightExpress above.

Got one transfered but the account that was supposed to be on wifes ipad is now in europe somewhere. Guild members are jumping ship
