My app is crashing. Since this is known issue the. Gree should reset the time! Coz we are running out of time. I am not sure i can finish ltq this time

Same here , i can't do anything just watch the site from time to time to check if they fixed it , so no ltq and no box event for us , we must be refunded.

What's the definition of shortly... a few hours to days to weeks? I can't play because I transfer the game to my house mates phone if my phone nearly goes flat when we are out. Now it's permanently stuck on theirs and I can't get it back... future reference maybe once an update is working fine before hand don't ever update the game again lol

@Sirius: My game was ok before, now crashing repeatedly after the update! I'm having to re-install to get in the game at all, and that only lasts a few minutes before I have to repeat the procedure.

I am on this latest data set. My crashing started yesterday. I've also tried a reinstall and still have the problem.

Same here. New data set and crashing. I uninstall the app, reinstall it and it works for a while.

I've been playing this game for a year and this is the first problem I've had so something got really messed up in this data set. My game crashes when trying to access the maps required in the LTQ. Specifically highland meadows. Click to travel to map and it crashes. Also crashed a few times last night accessing my profile screen. I'm on iOS if this helps.

I was actually considering buying an iPhone 5 and transferring game but I see that is also an issue. ��

I've been playing this game for a year and this is the first problem I've had so something got really messed up in this data set.

I was actually considering buying an iPhone 5 and transferring game but I see that is also an issue. ��

I'm suffering my issues on an iPhone 5, so that's not a solution.

I had the same issue on an IPad 1, couldn't access the maps without crashing. I rebooted the iPad, and have had no issues since.

one way to circumvent the crash is to go the quest via the map. check where the quest is and instead of hitting the button - go to maps and that will take you there! good luck

I play on an Ipod, my game crashes constantly, i managed to start the LTQ but since then it crashes every time i try to access it, either through maps, or quests icon. If i delete the game and reinstall it will this have any effect??? I have even deleted other games to try and free up some space for Kingdom Age to run more smoothly, didn't work. I am about to leave my guild so they can replace me with a new member who can actually play the game, even though i have given it patience patience patience!
Any suggestions or help would be great, as i love playing KA, but am fed up with the constant crashing

Transfers aren't fixed yet.. is there an estimation of when we can transfer our games back to our devices? we are missing out on events.

Hi everyone,

A member in my guild made a suggestion that worked. Shutting down and resetting the device, holding the on button and apple button together for 10 seconds,(Ipod) has managed to work for me. I can now finally start getting into the LTQ, having wasted a whole day waiting for support to reply.

Hopefully it has fixed the constant crashing that occurs in my game, since i started playing 5 months ago. And thank you support for never suggesting anything of any use.

To help Gree software engineers, it seems that myself and several others experience the LTQ crashes especially in the level 11 of 15 quest (Splinterbone). I deleted and reinstalled but it still crashed when accessing the quest throught he quest book. However, I was able to go to the Splinterbone map and complete the quest. Thereafter the quest book and LTQ were accessible without crashes so far. So it might be worth having a close look at the level 11 of the LTQ.

I was able to at least get on the game, but now, not anymore. Please fix!

I ran the recent update and now when I attempt to open the game I get a message to please restart the game. Restart and still get message. Hard reboot iPad still get message. I am in 2 LTQs that are timed, so to say I am upset is putting it mildly.

I'd just completed 11/15 in the current quest but did not get the reward unit.In all I tried 3 times each time completing the stage but no reward .I uninstalled and reinstalled the game but now I can't even access it as I keep getting messages to restart the game .i hope I get back my lost time on the quest plus the 3 energy refills I used for nothing .

It's now over fifteen hours lost quest time since the game failed .if I uninstall and reinstall how do I know I have the latest version of the game?Ive read posts saying the problem is fixed ,well it isn't fixed for me yet .please give me some feedback this is getting really annoying.

My Kingdom Age game used to throw me out even before the latest update, some limited time quests were quite glitchy (monsters not appearing in area etc), but now I can't even enter the game! It keeps telling me to restart the game with an icon of no "ok" buttons (also not reacting to the five-fingered swipe to close it, only closing if I push the only button ipad has...) could you please fix it?

other games with large amount of participants resolve issues within 48 hours... ever since this new update no one has been able to transfer their games because it won't send the information across and peoples games are crashing... as a free player it is extremely annoying but I can imagine how people that spend real cash could be even more annoyed!!

My game has been down for 16 hours now is there any progress on fixing it? Do I get Back my lost quest time?

Version 1.8.3 cannot transfer game for new devices. I downgraded to version 1.8.2 on my first gen iPad and I was able to transfer the game to my iPhone 4S.

Now I was trying to make the same move for my new iPad mini. No way. If I downgrade the version in my iPhone, the app won't start. After loading, it shows a message saying "Restart app" and it crashes.

So now I'm stuck with my iPhone, which is better than nothing, but I still can't use my brand new iPad. It's very frustrating.

So, I'm downloading the daily videos for the free gems and everything is going great. Get through about 5 videos all is well until I see the next video, it's for modern war! Imagine my amazement as watching this particular video has caused my game to crash! Really, not just once but twice! The same video! Really guys, what's going on over there?

I had the previous version stored in iTunes that I've never upgraded. So I deleted the app on my iPad and installed it from iTunes.

Luckily I still had the older version. If it's not your case, I don't think there's another way.

But as I said, it only worked with the first gen iPad. I could not replicate it in my iPhone so I'm still having the same problem.

Why is it that while I cannot access the game my kingdom and its buildings are still being attacked.i can't rebuild anything until I can get back in .this could cost me a lot please fix this .

I keep getting notifications that I'm being attacked but I STILL can't access my game ,its now 19hrs since it crashed .st least you could post an update on your progress in fixing this problem.

I am also unable to connect, FYI.

Other games are connecting fine. This is ka only. I'm guessing they are tinkering at GREE.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I thought it was weird that KA says I'm not connected to the internet and yet I have no trouble playing Monster Quest. I hope they fix it soon or extend the LTQ's.

First I couldn't get in, then I could, and now it's saying I need Internet connection. What a joke gree! Come on, sort yourself out. Before getting booted out, a guild mate was in a panic. He hasn't been able to access his account for the ltq since it started. What is going on? Call me cynical but 7 days is a long time for these quests. Server upgrade they haven't told us about?

Is the server down for everyone? If so, please communicate with the community. Giving frequent updates is not a bad thing. Also, it might be a good idea to start thinking about a compensation for your players.

The game was down for maintainence and I was hopeful that the problem was being fixed. When the game re-opened, I tried to launch the app and still got the "please restart the game" message.

I was having a glitch with the game, so I deleted it, and reinstalled it. Now every time I try entering the game, it says 'Please restart the game.' I have rebooted it several times, and tried closing and reopening it hundreds of times user the past 8 hours. Somewhere in the process I also updated the game. Thinking that would help. Every hour I can't get into the game, the further behind I get in the quests, and the less likely I am to finish them. Please help!

I cant start the application even.. And whats on my mind at this moment is that when i finally will be able to logon i will be raided flat, all my 24/48hourbuildings will be razed.. And i will have missed enough resets on the spiderboxes to fail the ltq...

I am having the same problem. I updated software - probably during server access issues and now it won't restart. I have reset my iPhone 5 and tried the game loads of times but keep being asked to restart it.

Still not working for me either! Still getting "Unrecognized Server Response....." I'm using iOS 6.1 so not only 5.11 is affected. I've spent over $800 on this game (I know, I shouldn't have but others have spent thousands on this game). This is totally inexcusable, buying a product that doesn't even work.

Since the admins don't seem to care that so many of us that spent $ aren't able to get in for so long, perhaps they will notice if we all start posting negative comments on the iTunes App Store warning future users. Pay attention admins...give more information, reward our loyalty, or we'll use the energy we've been using on the game to make sure you lose future users and revenue.

Game is back up and all is well, except that the transfer between devices function still doesn't work. No response from the ticket I submitted... Not sure what to do if all the messing with the servers today wasn't to fix that problem.

I just want to add to the complaints. I purposely did not update the game after seeing what my guildmates experienced. Then I did it accidentally. Now, like many of you, I am asked to "Please restart the game." I have done everything that you have tried - uninstall/reinstall, power off/power on, close the app and try again. Nothing seems to work. Come on Gree! Get it together. At least there isn't a war going on, but valuable LTQ time is being wasted.

Perhaps this is a sign for all of us to go outside and frolick in the daisies.

Glad to hear they are working on it. At least we received a response...now if they'll just give something back to those who were shut out. Not sure how they can do so for just those affected...I like the idea of backing up the game to before the black out, but I'm sure the users not affected will be less than enthusiastic

Hope it gets repaired and that the game can be worth re-entering...and not worth trashing on the app sites

Just an update for the issue related to the previous thread I posted:

"We've resolved the login issue. There were actually two separate problems. This morning there was an issue affecting everyone globally, and after resolving that we discovered there was a second issue which locked a small % of players out of the game. That kind of issue is actually much harder to debug and we had several members of the engineering team completely focused on it.

Please note that the crash issue mentioned in http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthre...encing-crashes is separate. Progress has been made and occurance rates are much lower now, but I can't declare that solved yet. "

After almost 19 hours, I was finally able to get into the game. I had been raided some. I collected money and then clicked on the quest....instant crash. Came back in after a few moments and it took forever for game to load any monsters on the map grid. Very frustrating to lose so much time during a quest where you are supposed to open boxes every hour. I hope Gree extends the quest or gives out free gems to help compensate.

I will almost place a bet that the people mhaving problem with the game crashing are on ios 5.1.1. Check your ios and let gree know you have an issue with crashes. Everyone in my guild with crash issues are on IOS 5.1.1 most of them using Ipad 1. Unfortunately Ipad 1 does not have an update beyond 5.1.1.

For some that use and like google map over the i map have decided to stay with 5.1.1 on their iphones like me.

Sirus please pass this on to the developers that most of the crash issues are due to IOS 5.1.1. I put in my support ticket in game. The only people from the guild i am at with the crash issues are also on ios 5.1.1.

I sincerely hope that you folks fix the problem with the 5.1.1 incompatibility. I would love to continue playing the game on my iphone but i dont see my self upgrading to 6.1.3 till the imap gets better.

Also on behalf of Ipad 1 users they really don't have a choice apple does not provide an update for Ipad one beyond 5.1.1

Actually read my previous post, I'm on iOS 6.1 & iPad 3. Therefore version of iPad or iOS doesn't make a difference.

We have been experiencing connection problems; either connection error, connection break up in the middle of the game, or extremely slow connection to server.
These problems stated here would happen three to five times to us and the duration is ranged from 1 hour to few days.
Should the issues mentioned above can not be solved sooner, we may have to give up on playing this game.

Sirus.. maybe the tech team should send out a backtracking update so people can load back to Version 1.8.2 so everyone can transfer their own games again and no more game crashes... and then you can release an update fixing the gem problem when they actually fix it...I know fixing gem problems would be #1 bc it gives Gree company money but you also lose a lot players by screwing them over with an update that evidence goes to show that they didn't even test before releasing version 1.8.3

I was also one of the people who purchased a few mountains of gems and not getting them, it took gree almost two months to give me my gems!! I'm glad they fixed the gem issues, but who cares??!! I got my gems, but I can't get into my game! So basically they finally gave me what I purchased, but the product is broken.

Great suggestion, revert back to old version!

I am not saying that people with different ios besides 5.1.1, aren't having a problem. By reading numerous posts here and chatting on several group boards on Palringo and Kakao, I have found that majority of the people having problems were using ios 5.1.1 and many of them using Ipad1. That being said this is a solution that has worked for most and once again not everyone. I hope it helps a few people out. If it doesn't work for you well I hope eventually a solution comes out to help everyone.

1) Delete the game and downloaded again.
2) If you still have a prob, do a hard reboot by pressing and holding the home and power button at the same time don't let go till the device turns off and the apple comes back on. you can let go when you see the apple.
3) When back from hard reboot completely close out the game. (to completely close out a game from the background click home twice quickly, this will show you what games are running in the back ground press and hold Kingdom age till it stats shaking and you see the red circle with - sign click that to close out the program completely.)
4) If you still have a problem repeat steps 2-3. (It may take doing steps 2-3. It takes doing steps 2-3 2 to 3 times for some people.)

This has cleared it up for me and some of my friends may not work for everyone but hey it's worth a shot give it a try. If it doesn't help you sorry to hear that but be happy people spend the time to share information and try to be helpful. For those that it does work for glad it helped you out.

First the bad news: My game started crashing again had a good run tho almost 2 days with no crashes.

The good news: Al tho inconvenient at least until Gree fixes this problem it is a temporary solution it seems. But hey at least it is a solution till someone figures out some thing better. I followed my own instructions as above. I had to repeat steps 3-3 three times before the game was fully working again.

The first time the box event did not show up and it crashed as soon as i tried to open up the quest window.

The second time The Box event showed up managed to open the quest window but crashed while the game was taking me to the LTQ area.

The third time was a charm no crashes working again tho there seems to be a lag.

Nothing wrong with my net it is fast.

I am using an Iphone 4s running ios 5.1.1
( For the smart remarks that usually follow I prefer google maps over Imaps and untill they make the Imap function well I am sticking to 5.1.1 )

So yes it is a pain but it seems when it crashes you will have to follow the steps i posted above took a while to find out the combination of things that would make it work. Once it starts to crash it seems to keep crashing till you follow the steps mentioned. I am hoping this is the last time I have to do this :) Will keep you folks updated hang in there.

If you are going to use the steps above make sure you read the instructions well and follow the steps as mentioned it has worked for me twice now and almost everyone else I have actually gotten feed back from.

To Gree please fix this it is tedious to have to do this :) I am sure you folks are trying your best hope the final solution comes soon :)

I have had very little issue of my game crashing since I started playing Kingdom Age. But there were a few times that issue started happening, and when I asked support about it way back in July of last year, they gave some good advise in regards to memory of the devise being used.

So on that note, while many of the techies out there may know a lot more about this than I, here's a little bit of advise that helped me and since then, have not had crashes on my game no matter the version:

1. Allies - try not to have too many allies over 500. Even though they don't show up, it does affect your phone and memory. Having well over 500 (including "grunts") can affect how well the game runs on your devise. One way to help handle this is to e-mail support in-game and ask that they remove all of your grunts so you can always control how many allies you have. At the time that I started having a hard time, I had been accepting everyone's ally requests, and had over 600. Dropped down to 520, to have some "just in case" others dropped me.

Go to your in-game menu, look at "visit allies" and you'll see in the top of your screen how many allies you have and how many grunts. (Or grunts may be on the bottom) Bring it down to 500 or no more than 520

[No - having more than 500 allies means nothing and won't affect your attack or defense or anything else]

2. I turned off cookies, using the concept that if there was memory usage involved, cookies use memory on my phone and do affect how well my phone works when using 3G/4G or WiFi

3. I had an 8G device before and near maxed at 7.9G memory usage. So deleted videos, HUGE apps, etc. I kept them in iTunes so I could always use them again when I wanted, but got rid of them on my phone

4. Depending on the device you use, apps can be running in the background, from constant push notification, etc. In combination with all of the above, it plays havoc on your device if you have near full memory capacity. See about turning off some push notifications and closing out some apps in the background in addition to the above steps.

As mentioned, it could be that I may just be lucky and all and only had problems late last year. But since the above has been done, I haven't had the game crash on me during playing, no matter the update. I have the current version with an iPhone 4S.

My iPhone 4s is crashing more often after the update. I noticed 2 crashes:

1. after the update, i start game, crash. I had to delete and install again
2. after game loaded, i wanted to start quest chain, crash. had i restart game.

One more thing, I get more cannot connect to server after this patch even though I know my internet connection is NOT the problem.

"Cannot connect to server. You must have access to the internet use this application".

I know my internet connection is NOT the problem. I'm able to go online on my browser,etc.

Tempus, I understand you are trying to help everyone and we appreciate that, but non of your suggestions worked. The issue is not with people's devices but with Gree's new update. No one was having any problems before the update. I just don't want Gree or the players to believe that the problem is with player's devices. The issue is Gree's new update and not different versions of iPad or different iOS. Gree please fix this issue and transfer game issue. Thank you.

If you read the article that Sirius posted it is more involved than just the update. Not everyone is experiencing the same exact problem because we all use different equipment to access the game. The change that Apple instituted has affected many online games, not just Gree programs. Many, many companies are scrambling to fix this problem Apple has created.

I deleted and re installed the app. Now it crashes even more often than before.
Can't even go to River's Bend, the last mission with 2 days to go!
Plus, the Spider Box icon dissapeared. I have collected 8 gems, I'm so near the goal...

EDIT: I just updated the App, both problems seem to be solved. Thanks!

There's an issue that we are experiencing right now,I was the previous leader of our guild.but due to personal reasons I have to transfer the leadership to one of my officers.the problem right now is he got issues with his iPhone,it got lost.now our members are getting restless if we will be able to get our upgrade.but officers have limited access for the upgrades.
Will it be possible for me to get back the leadership again? For the way I understand ( I'm not computer literate ) my unit device id (as leader) is still recorded in your servers if its still possible to get back the leader status.
Have already contacted support but still no action.i understand that gree have to much on hand but I hope that gree can resolve our guild problem.

Did you delete and reload the game and then repeat steps 2-3 up to as much as 4 times on my second crash it took me resetting the device 4 times before the crash issues went away and it hasn't come back since.


Actually it has worked for everyone of my friends that had issues. So I decided to post it here to help other people it has helped a lot more people than the few that it hasn't worked for, including some that did not repeat steps 2-3 as mentioned once they did it worked. I never said it was 100% guarantee but that it was worth a try :) IF you are still having issues I suggest reading my instructions again and make sure you follow the directions thoroughly. If it doesn't work sorry to hear that hopefully Gree will come up with a fix that deals with your issue.

Yes the problem occurred after the last update, also if you investigate as I have majority of the people tho not all were using 5.1.1.

And trust me when I say devices and ios does play a big factor and so does apple.

The reason I mentioned Ipad 1 is that the highest os it can run that is available for it is 5.1.1.

There are multiple issues when trying to make an app backward compatible to multiple devices and os. Gree is not the only app with issues on updates and they need information such as what os you are running and what device you are using to isolate problems and make them compatible with each device and os.

I did not pull the 5.1.1 out of the air our alliance has 6 guilds. I gathered information from all the people that were having issues. In the alliance the only people with crash issues were running 5.1.1. Also I have an iphone running on 5.1.1 which had crash issues and an Ipad running 6.1.3 which had no issues at all. In the forums there were people running other os besides 5.1.1 that were having issues.

I never stated that the update wasn't an issue. What I was pointing out was that the majority of the people i came across with issues were running 5.1.1 and to point that out to gree to help with isolating the problem I was not saying that only people with 5.1.1 were having issues.

I normally am not going to post something without a little research, reason or testing. :)

They should just say that the game is not supported on old devices anymore.....I play KA on both a IPad 1 and a new IPad. On the iPad 1 KA keeps on crashing, and is basically unplayable, whereas on the iPad with retina display, very few crashes..... Not a nice feeling having to upgrade a perfectly usable iPad 1 just for a stupid game .....

I play my LLP on an iPad 1, and there are some limitations,but the game is playable. Turn the game settings down, be prepared for it to just be slower. Fighting on my iPhone 5 is quick, the animations on the iPad are not. If I have not turned off my iPad in a few weeks or had recently run a bunch of different games and maybe lowered whatever cache memory there is, KA will just close out when I go to zone or pull a pvp list. Most mornings I will do the scratcher and then have the three ads bunch up on the screen, so I just close the game and open it again. Last war I think my iPad crashed the game once, and I just open it back up.
