Is anyone else having issues starting KA? I am receiving the following message "Cannot connect to server. You must have access to the internet to use this application."

@Sirius, can you guys flip the switch and turn your servers back on so we can play?

Yeah, even did the classic Gree reinstall and still down. MW was down the other day for 3 hours.

I'm in the southeast and guild members are reporting same issue of not having connection. Must be a maintance update usually last 1 hour or less

Couldn't open a box. So I closed it and restarted, was able to get into KA, but never could get the box to open. So I closed KA again and now I can't get in at all.

same everywhere I think. I'm in the UK and all guild members experiencing the same from all corners of the globe. They better extend the time of give us some kinda compensation. I had almost full energy and trying to open the boxes hourly.

I know there is a lot of time yet on the current events but to have any hope of completing a box event without spending gems, it is REALLY necessary to check every. single. hour. If I don't complete the event because the server was down today preventing me from doing so, Gree is going to hear from me. Odds are worse at the end of the time period, too. So missing 3 hours now may mean spending a lot more than 3 gem refills at the end to make up for it if I still need 1 or 2.

Couldnt announce it going down for maintenance (assume here since couple days post event and post MW doing same) and do it during times when events not running. Sigh. Gree is the perfect example of how gambling related companies can survive inept management.

There is a chance it's a problem out of Gree's control. I can't see them doing maintenance mid event, could they?? Especially as it is the every hour box event that's gunna cause a major upset as well as the ltq. A lot of people are on the edge with this game already, this might push some over if it is maintenance and they didn't warn us all.

Nice, Gree. You let some people back into the game quicker than others and as a result I missed my building collection time, which I had an alarm on my phone for, so I would NOT have missed it had the server been up. And as a result I was pillaged for like 200k. F U Gree. You owe me 200k gold.

Any update regarding inability to transfer devices as of the recent app upgrade? Some people (including myself) temporarily transferred their game to a different device and are now stuck on that temporary device. Is there a timetable for the fix?

I'm glad that Gree is at least telling us that something is going on and that they are working on it. Have you ever been on an airplane on the runway and not moving? It's hot, you're not allowed to get out of the plane, and you have no idea what's going on. The hours are slowly ticking by and the captain keeps telling the passengers that they are doing some maintenance on the plane. The stewards have no information for you, and they just keep smiling as if to tell you that everything will be ok. Your iPod just ran out of power, and you finished both magazines you brought for the flight. The baby 2 rows behind you is crying because s/he needs a diaper change. The odor starts to mix with the warm recirculated air and everyone is a little nauseous. You have to pee, but bathrooms are both occupied and they are running out of toilet paper. You look at your iPhone clock every ten minutes and you don't know why you are going to suburban Kansas City anyway. Do you really want to move to the middle of the US where you don't know anyone? Who are those people and how are you going to make a new life there? Hours have gone by and all they can offer you is some water and a bag of pretzels. A piece of salt gets stuck in your throat and it's starting to burn. The stewardess is too far away to get her attention and the fat man next to you in the aisle seat is snoring. He's leaning towards you and the claustrophobia is getting stronger. The food in his mustache reminds you of something that you saw under your shoe after you left the taxi that brought you to the airport.

Our situation is not like that. We'll be fine without Kingdom Age.

We've resolved the login issue. There were actually two separate problems. This morning there was an issue affecting everyone globally, and after resolving that we discovered there was a second issue which locked a small % of players out of the game. That kind of issue is actually much harder to debug and we had several members of the engineering team completely focused on it.

Please note that the crash issue mentioned in http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?56235-Some-players-experiencing-crashes is separate. Progress has been made and occurance rates are much lower now, but I can't declare that solved yet.

Still having problems here. I'm in uk have iPhone 4S. I get messages saying guild chat unavailable, cannot reach server, when trying to raid, I get server cannot refresh the list, player to weak to attack when pressing invade button.

Really getting out of patience, we were not able to log in since last night. We keep getting messages:

1. Unable to connect to server

If we're lucky to log in, then we get " guild chat unavailable, cannot reach server" or

3. when raid, server cannot refresh the list and player to weak to attack

What is going on ?.....

I have been down for more than 24 hours, my KA does not even give me a message, just crash as I try to open the game.
I am running KA on my ipod, but on my other account on the ipad its ok, but the one not working is my main account, missing out on the box event, really unfair!

I lost 4 hours of box opening greatness yesterday. I submitted a support ticket about it once the game came back up. but I wont get that time back unless a lil some one sends me about 80 gems to reset the box open timer.

If it is server down message well you have to wait till the server comes back up for the area you live in I have no solution for you.

For those of you with different issues like the game crashing or something else. Try the method below as it works for some of the people.

I am not saying that people with different ios besides 5.1.1, aren't having a problem. By reading numerous posts here and chatting on several group boards on Palringo and Kakao, I have found that majority of the people having problems were using ios 5.1.1 and many of them using Ipad1. That being said this is a solution that has worked for most and once again not everyone. I hope it helps a few people out. If it doesn't work for you well I hope eventually a solution comes out to help everyone.

Hope this helps may not work for everyone.
1) Delete the game and downloaded again.
2) If you still have a prob, do a hard reboot by pressing and holding the home and power button at the same time don't let go till the device turns off and the apple comes back on. you can let go when you see the apple.
3) When back from hard reboot completely close out the game. (to completely close out a game from the background click home twice quickly, this will show you what games are running in the back ground press and hold Kingdom age till it stats shaking and you see the red circle with - sign click that to close out the program completely.)
4) If you still have a problem repeat steps 2-3. (It may take doing steps 2-3. It takes doing steps 2-3 2 to 3 times for some people.)

This has cleared it up for me and some of my friends may not work for everyone but hey it's worth a shot give it a try. If it doesn't help you sorry to hear that but be happy people spend the time to share information and try to be helpful. For those that it does work for glad it helped you out.

I'm in Sydney. My software is iOS 6.1.3 on my Ipad2.
Its still cannot connect to KA until now.

Almost there

What is the problem your having exactly what is you game doing or not doing? as there are a few different sort of problems out there.

So you deleted the program

You logged into the program after installing it again

You did the hard reboot as mentioned ( this is different from turning off the device and turning it back on look at directions if all you did was turn off the device )

You closed out the game from running in the back ground.

and if it didnt work the first time you did steps 2 to 3 a total of three times?

Almost everyone that has done this it has worked for them that i heard back from. Try and re read the directions it is important to follow it precisely for it to work.

Hope it works if you missed a step and tried again if it didnt not sure of any other way.

Maybe when you tell me what prob y9ou are having i may have a different solution. :)

First the bad news: My game started crashing again had a good run tho almost 2 days with no crashes.

The good news: Al tho inconvenient at least until Gree fixes this problem it is a temporary solution it seems. But hey at least it is a solution till someone figures out some thing better. I followed my own instructions as above. I had to repeat steps 3-3 three times before the game was fully working again.

The first time the box event did not show up and it crashed as soon as i tried to open up the quest window.

The second time The Box event showed up managed to open the quest window but crashed while the game was taking me to the LTQ area.

The third time was a charm no crashes working again tho there seems to be a lag.

Nothing wrong with my net it is fast.

I am using an Iphone 4s running ios 5.1.1
( For the smart remarks that usually follow I prefer google maps over Imaps and untill they make the Imap function well I am sticking to 5.1.1 )

So yes it is a pain but it seems when it crashes you will have to follow the steps i posted above took a while to find out the combination of things that would make it work. Once it starts to crash it seems to keep crashing till you follow the steps mentioned. I am hoping this is the last time I have to do this :) Will keep you folks updated hang in there.

If you are going to use the steps above make sure you read the instructions well and follow the steps as mentioned it has worked for me twice now and almost everyone else I have actually gotten feed back from.

To Gree please fix this it is tedious to have to do this :) I am sure you folks are trying your best hope the final solution comes soon :)

You will not lose your game data. I've deleted and reinstall numerous times recently to resolve my connection issue. On a side note, reinstalling fixed my game notifications. Now I get the game notifications I wasn't getting before.

No. All of the data you have about your game, level, units, weapons, bonuses, etc, are all stored on the server side, not in your devise. You can delete and reinstall all you want, and the data and progress you have made will still be there. No worries. :)

1. Be sure you are not under ddos
2. Check traffic where is it coming

Sorry, I can't understand why players have to make stupid things are like delete the game, make cold reset and buy new iOS device.

Let's go to make the game for people, not just for money.

To gree... When server is down:
1. Be sure you are not under ddos
2. Check traffic where is it coming
3. If more then 50% traffic comes from Chine and Russia you have to block ips from this countries

I have to say I am a bit disappointed by statements like this in the forums. Why would you single out 2 countries for blocking of ips.

I would have thought in theses modern times race isolation would have been a thing of the past.

I agree that having the proper amount of servers is important but isolating 2 countries to be blocked does not belong in the forums. It is sentiments and thoughts like this that creates problems in our world.

Personally I use two devices 1 is an Ipad retina running 6.1.3 which has absolutely no problems and runs very fast the second is an Iphone 4s which after the last upgrade has been experiencing lag and crash issues. Both share the same internet, so based on this observation I personally do not think this is an issue of not having the right amount of servers. More than likely it is a problem with:

1) backward incompatibility with some devices and ios.
2) more than likely this has more to do with the lack of proper amounts of staff to correct the issues than the lack of the proper amount of servers.

I have traveled around the world quite a bit and i have found that although the political campaigns of the governments in various countries leave a lot to be desired, the people that live in them all want the same things, the right to have a good life to share with their family and friends in the pursuit of freedom and happiness.

Lets please leave statements like #3 out of the forums.

To take it a step further, CREE should block all our ips. Maybe then we would all be able to return to our real lives and not be addicted to checking our devices hourly. I hope there is detox for KA.

I've one everything you can do from the client side but the game still fails to connect.This is day 2 of the "you must connect to the internet, retry" event for me.How many days will it last? Should I just turn my attention to some other pursui?

Yep! Started about 3 days ago.
When trying to log on the game I am receiving the following message "Cannot connect to server. You must have access to the internet to use "

I have wireless that is working perfectly fine
What is going on? I have deleted the game, downloaded it, hard restarted my iPad but I am still getting this problem.

How long does it take to get my army and gear back 100%? This worries me!

Thanks TempusDA for all the effort you have put into these connection issue threads. Not many people are willing to repeat themselves so many times. So again I say thank you and keep up the great work.

@Diadexxus, similar location as you & the same problem. "unable to connect to server. Must have internet". But my internet works perfect.

@Tempus, deleted and reinstalled twice, hard reboot and closed game completely many times. Problem persists.

Been locked out since yesterday..
