View Full Version : Developer note on LE set Limited Time Quest

Hey all, we understand there has been a fair amount of confusion/ feedback on the LE sets, and we wanted to clear up some of that confusion and attempt to explain some recent changes:

Weekly LE Limited Time Quest

During the April Fools LEs, we created bonus reward items for purchasing the entire LE set. We are continuing doing this as a way to reward the players who purchase all of the weekly LEs.

We currently have a technical limitation that prevents us from adding items with a bonus directly to LE sets. This is the reason for the LTQ, so that we can award players a bonus item who purchase the entire LTQ set. We do understand that people are somewhat confused on this because of the association of limited time goals with events, and we apologize for that.

We try to keep the power on Limited Edition items in pace with the overall stat inflation in the game. While they may not be attractive to all of our more powerful players, it is a good way for others to get up to speed more quickly, and again we do wish to reward people who purchase an entire set.

Additional note about the April Fools LE set:

This set was balanced and priced the same way that we do all of the other limited time items. LE items never offer any type of bonus and we had thought that it would be fun to have nonsensical bonuses for April Fools as a joke. Unfortunately we did not communicate this to community as effectively as we should have, and we apologize for the confusion on that case.

Also, the bonus for the Emperorís Robe item, +60% Perceived Intellect, is a reference to story Emperorís New Clothes and is reinforced by the robe being invisible. We apologize for any confusion regarding this bonus, and will be sure to better communicate going forward.

Please feel free to post any comments or concerns and we will try to address them.

Technically, since the robe is intended to be invisible, you could simply make the LE disappear without the hassle of justifying your action.

Lol you mind telling us how many people completed that April fools LTQ?

Thank you, for the explanation about the benefits of paying for units, but I will remain one of those players, who choose not to be rewarded through spending money on units, which don't do a great deal for me in the grand scheme of things, apart from empty my bank account.

Between this and the "60% Protection, Every Time" reward for the Brian Fantana EB in CC, I'm thinking some developers are getting jokey at Gree. Loved both bonuses, by the way.
