View Full Version : Faction Co-Leader

04-21-2014, 10:46 AM
I think having a co-leader option in a faction would be a good idea. The co-leader would have the same powers as the leader (except maybe not be able to kick the leader.) Having a co-leader would come in handy when the leader is busy and not able to attend to his duties.

Obviously, when choosing a co-leader, one would have to be careful so the co-leader does not go rogue, but chances of that I believe are slim. Anyway, what are your thoughts of having a faction co-leader?

this should have been in place long ago but lets be honest anything that makes our game play more enjoyable gree will go out their way to make it not so

Yes.. would save us swapping leader every night

Perfect idea, like a 2nd in command status.
That way no fear for rogue players cause leader can boot the 2nd in command but not other way arround

Been wanting this for a while.

04-21-2014, 11:32 AM
Good idea i like it should been ingame long time

agree completly, especially helpful in case something happens to the leaders device also, as waiting to get the game back without being able to hit transfer takes a lot of time

Here here.. This should be a standard feature for factions. Same access and functions at FL status.

Looking like pretty much everybody wants it and it should be an easy addition to the game.

you missed out the 3rd option, I DON'T GIVE A OOPSS !!!.............moo :D

Or just give officers the ability to build walls and buy boosts.

Building walls is a pretty painful event LOL

I don't know

The co-leader shouldn't be able to kick players only the leader. The co-leader should only be able to buy boosts and walls.

Yes too many things that could happen that could cause a disaster so there should be a backup. However like the current way the Leader is designed only the leader can demote themselves so this way a rogue Leader cannot totally nuke the faction and backup leader.

The leader could have the ability to make a selection on the permissions that the co-leader could have. That way the more trusted the co-leader the more ability to make changes they would have. The co-leader would come in real handy when we are working on the boss and trying to move people in and out to take hits on the boss or any other event that requires frequent shuffling of people.

Should of been from start, but never to late to do it Gree! Not holding my breath

Absolutely having a #2 for the #1 they go well together

You're rite too many things happened and can happened, even better if we can have the back up for the co-leader, in the case the leader and co-leader decided to rebel and nuke the faction ...........co-co-leader ???......moo :D

p/s- needed any co-co-co-leader ???

Great idea, should be created directly.

04-24-2014, 09:46 AM
Let's bump this back to the top. And maybe get somebody from GREE to comment?

04-25-2014, 09:00 AM
Any other opinions on this?

04-25-2014, 11:21 AM
Absolutely. This is a no-brainer that should have been added long ago. In fact, I was about to start a thread on the very thing today when I saw this one.

Exactly, a co-leader or vice-leader with all the powers of the leader except unable to kick or demote the leader. One person cannot be online 100% of the time to handle promotions, ejections, wall building, etc.

I think this is a great idea. We had to create a new feeder faction because the leader in our old one was worthless, wouldn't give up his spot and couldn't be counted on to do anything. With a co-leader would could have kept the faction going despite him and would not have lost the bonuses we had.

Now this could be a remarkably bad idea but what if the faction members were allowed to vote in a co leader?

Oh and btw my HLP and 12 LLPs and ULLPs are looking to hijack er I mean join a top 10 faction! :p

It would be great to have a co-leader.

Then also, change the "officer" role to "elder," because we all know that officers aren't necessarily qualified to be leaders. Then add "fortresses" that you can get donated units for your attacks or defenses.

Then maybe have some third form of currency, rather than valor, that is something like a magic potion, or some sort of elixir that allows you to purchase troops.

Then maybe change the gameplay from static raw attack vs. defense to something more dynamic, like choosing where to attack on someone's base depending on how they have their defense buildings arranged.

This is all a brainstorm, but maybe the dev's can look into it.

I think this is a great idea, would save having to switch leaders anytime you leave your faction to help other factions.

I think this forum works better then the app it supports! Haven't had any issues with this forum.;) Cant say that for the app tho!! Good Luck in the app Modern War!!!

As much as we all want someone from GREE to comment on this, it probably won't happen.

Considering how long ago this was posted...... Ya think.......

05-02-2014, 03:49 PM
This is a good idea, thus, it will not be implemented.

A 2IC with subordinate delgate powers would be ideal.

We are having an issue where our temp leaders device is offline waiting for gree to reinstate the account, thus no def walls can be put up during this current war.

on the plus side we are on a 8/8 streak having had no walls..go figure!
